The differences between the Statutes at Large and the United States Code are greater than the eyes can see. The Statutes at Large, Revised Statutes of 1875 and the United States Code are the official publications of laws enacted by Congress. Legislation enacted in accordance with the process provided in Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution, is forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register, National Archives and Records Administration to be assigned a public/private law number, and published as a slip law.
