Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im Bank) Reauthorization – IF00021 published on

What is Ex-Im Bank? As the official U.S. export credit agency (ECA), Ex-Im Bank finances and insures U.S. exports of goods and services on a demand-driven basis. It seeks to support U.S. exports, and in turn, U.S. employment, by (1) correcting market failures, assuming the risks of financing exports that the private sector is unwilling, or unable, to undertake alone at competitive terms; and/or (2) meeting foreign competition, countering officially backed financing offered by other countries.
